On the positive side, blue is an amazing color but not for those representing Team Blue early on in Athletes Unlimited Basketball. However, this Team Blue, led by Dallas Wings forward Isabelle Harrison, became the first team wearing blue jerseys to earn a victory this season.
The blue jerseys lost the first four games of the season before their win over Team Gold, led by Washington Mystics guard Natasha Cloud in Game 10. Team Blue got the win over Team Gold by a score of 95-89.
Overall, Team Cloud snagged more boards than Team Harrison by a 37-35 margin. It is the fifth occurrence in the last six Athletes Unlimited basketball games a team has lost despite holding the rebound advantage. Team Harrison went 55.9 percent from the field, making the highest single-game field goal percentage by a squad this season.
What’s more, it is the seventh time a team has gone 50.0 percent or more from the field this season. Altogether, the teams went 18-of-42 (42.9 percent) from beyond the arc, including a 10-for-19 (52.9 percent) effort by Team Blue.
On the whole, there have been 155 three-pointers in the first ten games of this Athletes Unlimited Basketball season. This year, aspiration will sow ten trees for each three-pointer hit as part of its “Trees for Threes” initiative.
Team Harrison (Team Blue)
Unquestionably, for Team Blue, WNBA All-Star Guard Courtney Williams went off, scoring 30 points on 13-of-18 shooting from the field, including a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range. She became the sixth player to put up a 30-point game this season. The number eight overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft added nine rebounds and six assists.
