Follow along here at Beyond Women’s Sports for the weekly attendance updates in the WNBA. This is the final report for the 2023 season, as the regular season ended on Sept. 10. The numbers reported below are up to and including all games through the end of the 2023 season on Sept. 10.
WNBA Attendance: Week in review
This attendance report spanned the week of Sept. 5 through Sept. 10. For this one-week span; the league had a total of 17 games. Overall, league attendance ended up 17.2% compared to 2022’s final average. For the final week, the Las Vegas Aces saw the largest crowd, with 17,406 on Sept. 10 (the game was played at T-Mobile Arena). The lowest attendance for the week belonged to the Indiana Fever, which drew 2,450 on Sept. 5.
The largest, and only, decrease by one team from 2022 is the Seattle Storm (-1,703). Finally, the league did not top its 2018 final average of 6,779 but did surpass its 2019 average (6,528).
Eleven teams finished up from their 2022 final average, with the Seattle Storm as the lone team below their 2022 final average. Moreover, the largest increase by one team was the Las Vegas Aces (+3,944).

2023 summary
The 2023 season ranks 23rd all-time in terms of final average. The league fell short of 164 from topping 2018’s final average. The 2020 season held in “the wubble” did not allow fans. This was also the first season the league had 40 games. The 2024 WNBA season will also be a 40-game schedule.
