The numbers reported below are up to and including all games through games on June 16. The NWSL saw an increase in teams for 2024 with the return of the Utah Royals and the expansion team Bay FC. The league is not expected to expand for the 2025 season.
NWSL Attendance: Week in Review
The NWSL had all 14 teams in action this weekend. The Washington Spirit had the largest crowd for the week, and their largest crowd of the season, with 19,897 on Saturday, June 15. Meanwhile, the Courage ended up with the smallest crowd for the week with only 4,776 on June 15.
Roughly midway through the 2024 season, three teams remain below their 2023 average (Portland, San Diego, and Seattle). The Chicago Red Stars have seen the highest increase from last season (+3,468) with Washington (+2,171) and Gotham FC (+1,993) right behind. The league is still slightly up from their final average from 2023 (+157).

The Week Ahead
The league resumes play on Wednesday, June 19 with San Diego at Gotham FC and Racing Louisville FC heading to play Angel City FC in Los Angeles. In total, 9 games will be played this week with the featured game being Washington at Gotham FC on Sunday, June 23 (1:30 pm on ESPN).
