A Thrilling Close to Series One of AUX Softball

Without question, Series One of AUX Softball provided fans with high-powered offenses and great pitching. The leaderboard shifted throughout the final two games of the series as drama came with every pitch and at-bat.

Games Five and Six were decided by a combined four runs, showing how competitive these matchups were. Let’s look into the final two games of Series One of AUX Softball.


Game Five: Team Zerkle fends off a late rally by Team Garcia to win 7 – 6

In this game, Morgan Zerkle’s squad put up five runs in their half of the first inning. Jessi Warren hit an RBI double, but Nadia Taylor cleared the bases with a grand slam with one swing of the bat. The team’s final two runs came from Mia Davidson’s RBI via a sacrifice fly and Andrea Filler with an RBI triple.

It was the Taylor Edwards show for Rachel Garcia’s team as she accounted for four of the six runs. First, Edwards had an RBI single in the third inning. She was a major part of their four-run seventh inning, hitting a three-run homer while Sam Fischer added an RBI in the inning.


Lastly, Danielle Gibson supplied the other RBI in that third inning for Team Garcia. What’s more, Edwards’ home run tied the record for the most in an AUX season.


Game Six: Team Mulipola’s four-run seventh inning gave them the 7 – 4 win over Team Zerkle

Dejah Mulipola’s team trailed by a score of 4 – 3 entering the seventh inning but came through when it counted the most. The rally started when Tori Vidales hit a groundout RBI. Jordan Roberts opened it up with a single that brought in three runs.

In total, Vidales was responsible for four RBIs with two in the first inning and another in the fifth. Morgan Zerkle had an RBI to help her squad, while Warren had the other one. Rookie Sydney McKinney scored on a fielding error in inning number one and a wild pitch in the fifth.


Who are the team captains for Series Two of AUX Softball?

First, Aubrey Leach led the way with 494 points, including 120 MVP points.

She will be the captain of Team Gold. Next, Taylor and Filler tied with 475 points and will lead teams Orange and Blue, respectively.
