As we enter the next-to-last week of AU Pro Basketball, Season Four has been one to watch as the attendance is reflective of that point. The leaderboard up to now have some familiar names looking to become this season’s champion. Games 13 and 14 showed off the offensive firepower and the defensive prowess. That being said, here’s a recap of the first doubleheader of Week three.
Game 13: Orange Is the New Orange in AU Pro Basketball
In this game, Maddy Sigriest captains Team Orange once again this week facing Isabelle Harrison and Team Blue. Siegrist’s squad won the first quarter by a 30-17 margin but both teams tied in the second and third quarters. However, Team Orange pulled away in the final frame as they won by five points (20-15) and the game 98-80.
For Siegrist, the win is her fourth straight win as a captain and the second player in AU Pro Basketball history with such a streak. Also, she took home her seventh consecutive MVP honor, winning MVP 1 honors. Siegrist led all scorers with 35 points, 19 in the first quarter. It is tied for the most points in any quarter in league history.

The MVP 2 honor went to guard/forward McKenzie Forbes as she scored 12 points in 24 minutes of action. Completing the sweep of MVP honors for the Orange squad is guard Shey Peddy, who put up 15 points on six of eight shooting from the field. It’s important to note Forbes and Peddy won their first-ever MVP honors.
Crystal Bradford found herself with double-digit rebounds with 17 in the win. The guard is the first player in AU Pro Basketball history to grab 15+ boards in four straight contests. Guard Rebecca Harris and forward Asia Taylor added 11 and 10 points, respectively for Team Orange.
Despite the loss, all five starters scored 10+ points for Harrison’s team, led by her 23 points. Fellow forward Alissa Pili had 15 points as guards Sequoia Holmes (14), Bria Hartley (13), and Lexie Brown (10) reached the mark.
Game 14: Low-Scoring But Competitive Matchup In Nashville
While Game 13 was on the offensive side, Game 14 was quite the opposite. Odyssey Sims and Team Gold faced Maya Caldwell and the Purple team in this game. While Team Purple won the first frame over Team Gold, it was the only one they would win. Caldwell’s squad swept the final three quarters as they took home the W by a 73-64 score.
Caldwell was the MVP 1 of the game as she scored 23 points with eight caroms, her fifth 10+ point effort in six games this season. Teammate Tyasha Harris was the MVP 3, scoring 16 points with eight boards.
