Athletes Unlimited Softball Rounds Out Stellar 2023 Roster

As Athletes Unlimited Softball quickly approaches, the rosters are complete with four new signees. First, pitcher Brooke Yanez will participate in the AUX and Championship seasons this year. Yanez pitched for the UCLA Bruins after playing for the Oregon Ducks and UC Davis.

The lefty appeared in 30 games for the Bruins this season, striking out 115 batters in 126.2 innings of work. She went 16 – 3 in 24 starts. Her list of accomplishments includes being first-team All Pac-12 with the Ducks in 2021 and making second-team this year with UCLA.

While at UC Davis, Yanez tossed 391.1 innings over 64 appearances as she had 463 strikeouts in two seasons from 2018 to 2019.

Next is another pitcher in Florida Gators right-hander Elizabeth Hightower. In her five seasons with the Gators (2019 – 2023), Hightower had a 2.46 career ERA with 426 strikeouts and 18 shutouts. It’s important to note that Hightower will be playing in just AUX this season.

Two More Bats Will Join Athletes Unlimited Softball

What’s more, outfielder Caroline Jacobsen will be suiting up in the Championship season this year. She started all 61 games for the Tigers in 2023, hitting .309 with 50 RBIs and 12 home runs. The right-handed slugger started her college career at Duke.

Lastly, another will join the roster as corner infielder Delanie Wisz will participate.. She played three seasons at UCLA (2019 – 2021).

Wisz is one of 11 players in program history to have four multi-home run games in a career. In all, she had a .352 batting average with 127 RBIs and 35 homers as a Bruin.

When does Athletes Unlimited Softball Start?

For AUX fans, the action begins on June 12 and runs through June 27. The Championship season for Athletes Unlimited starts July 28 and ends August 27.
