As Week Two of Season Three of AU Basketball wrapped up, it seems to be a tight race at the top between two of the best players in the league. A major reason is the offensive barrage with records falling like rain from the sky. All six games in Week Two were decided by 10 points or less with half by five points or fewer. That being said, here is the recap for Games Eleven and Twelve of AU Hoops.
Game Eleven: Team Cloud Ends Week Two of AU Basketball with a W
In this game, Natasha Cloud and her team were down by a 71-66 score after three quarters. Cloud and Company took control of the game in the final frame by outscoring Odyssey Sims and her squad on the way to a 93-85 victory. Lexie Brown led the charge for Team Cloud with 22 points on 7-of-15 from the field, winning MVP 1 honors. Cloud added 17 points with six dimes, going 50 percent from beyond the arc as she was the MVP 2 of the game.

Besides Brown and Cloud, four other players hit double-digits in the points department. Ty Young and Adut Bulgak had a double-double in the win. Young scored 17 points with 11 boards as Bulgak put up 11 points and 15 caroms. Also, Isabelle Harrison notched 14 points while Lexie Hull had 12 points along with seven assists.
Kierstan Bell garnered MVP 2 Honors in a losing effort with 22 points and eight rebounds. It was her third game this AU Basketball season with 20+ points and eighth overall. Sims found herself with 16 points, nine dimes, and six boards as well as six steals in the contest.
Game Twelve: Team Gray and Team Sims played big in Texas
All things considered, it was all gas and no brakes in the Week Two finale at the Fair Park Coliseum. There were a combined 60 shots made from the charity stripe with 223 points. Allisha Gray is on a mission this season as she scored 22 points, 10 boards, and seven assists in the 115-108 victory for her team. Gray was not alone on her squad as Rae Burrell added 22 points, going a perfect nine-for-nine from the free throw line while getting MVP 2 honors.
Gray’s squad became the first team in AU Hoops history to score 60+ points in the first half after finishing with 65 points. Emily Engstler is on her way to making history as she blocked five shots and she has 21 rejections thus far in the AU Basketball season. The forward is one shy of the all-time mark set by Theresa Plaisance last season with 22.
