Sooner or later, we expected more history in AU Basketball and Washington Mystics guard Natasha Cloud made some in Game 17. The captain of Team Cloud became the first player in AU Basketball history to record a triple-double after finishing the game with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. What’s more, Cloud played all 40 minutes while posting her fourth double-double of the season.
However, Team Harrison, led by Dallas Wings forward Isabelle Harrison, completed a three-game sweep of their games with an 85-79 win over Team Cloud. Significantly, Team Harrison becomes the third team to post a three-game sweep, joining Team Carrington in Week One and Team Brown in Week Two.
Harrison’s squad had 20 assists on 34 field goals, including six assists from guard Courtney Williams. Since missing Week One, she has dished out 45 assists in six games. The 2021 WNBA All-Star also put up her second double-double of the season with 16 points and a season-high 12 rebounds. In short, she finished the game making 7-of-16 shots from the field, including 2-of-3 three-pointers.
Overall, Team Harrison shot 50.0 percent from the field in the win. In three games this week, Team Harrison shot 46.3 percent from the floor and averaged 83.3 points per game. In addition, Team Cloud made 27-of-28 free throws in the game and outrebounded Team Harrison by a 40-35 gap.
The teams combined to make 12 three-pointers, increasing the league season total to 246 three-pointers through 17 games. Thus, Aspiration will plant 10 trees for each made three-pointer as part of its “Trees for Threes” initiative.

Team Cloud (Team Blue)
Despite Team Cloud losing the game, center Drew Edelman built her third straight double-digit scoring performance with 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Identically, center Kalani Brown reached double digits in scoring for the sixth time this year with a 17-point effort. She converted 7-of-13 field goal attempts and added six rebounds.
