Draft day
Going into draft day, the Connecticut Sun had picks 12, 24, and 36. They chose Nia Clouden from Michigan State, Jordan Lewis from Baylor, and Kiara Smith from Florida. Going into the draft, Connecticut didn’t need much. Connecticut kept most of its roster from the ’21 season. Clouden fits the style Curt Miller likes for his two spot. The fans can expect minutes to be competed for. Connecticut gets an A for their picks. While they didn’t need much, the players they picked seemed to fit into their system.
Training camp
Like most WNBA teams this season, the Connecticut Sun have a hefty roster going into training camp. Camp invitations were extended to Alexus Dye, Delicia Washington, Aleksa Gulbe, Keyona Hayes, Taj Cole, Yvonne Anderson, and Joyner Holmes. Looking at the current roster, there looks to be only one open position available. The Sun also brought back guard Courtney Williams. So could this year be Connecticut’s year? Maybe! The Sun are social media friendly, so you can watch some training camp sneak peeks through their Instagram and Twitter accounts.
