The final game of the doubleheader saw Team Gold led by Amanda Lorenz face Aleshia Ocasio and Team Blue with each team seeking their second win of Week Five. To start, Delanie Wisz did not waste any time giving Team Ocasio the lead at the top of the first.

Wisz slammed a three-run shot straight down the left field line for a 3-0 lead. Yet, Team Lorenz would close the gap in the bottom of the second with RBI doubles from Taylor Edwards and Jessi Warren.

In the fourth, Wisz added another run with a single that would score Skylar Wallace. This made the game 4-2 until the fifth when Erin Coffel hit a two-run homer for Team Gold, tying the game at 4-4. As a result, this game would go to extra innings as it is the fourth such game this season. All in all, the game ended as Hannah Flippen scored on a wild pitch and Team Lorenz stayed undefeated.

Coffel with her two-RBI game and Warren’s three-hit effort garnered MVP 1 and MVP 2 honors, respectively. Also, Wisz was the MVP 3 as she drove in four RBIs in the heartbreaking loss for Team Ocasio.

Lorenz maintains a 210-point lead over Ocasio entering the final doubleheader of the season. Kilfoyl is 50 points behind as Wallace is in the fourth spot.
