Historical Beginning to Week Four of Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball

As Week Four of Season Four of Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball is here, the games will be that much more important. The leaderboard is reflective of that sentiment as the action was on display in Nashville. In the first doubleheader of the week, shooting and stellar defense were on the menu. That being said, here’s a recap of Games 19 and 20 in Week Four.

Game 19: Bradford went Beyond in Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball

This matchup saw guards Crystal Bradford and Odyssey Sims captain the Blue and Orange teams, respectively. Team Blue took a commanding 28-17 lead following the first quarter as both teams tied with 18 points apiece in the second quarter. Bradford’s squad took the third quarter as Sims’ squad won the final frame.

Ultimately, Bradford and Team Blue picked up the win by a score of 98-87. Here, the 185 total points were the most in any contest this season of Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball. For Team Blue, it was truly a team effort as they tied the record with 19 made three-pointers and 25 overall attempts in the second quarter.

Moreover, Bradford hit 10 of those 19 shots from beyond the arc, breaking the previous mark of nine. She also tied the mark by hitting five three-pointers in each half as she scored 38 points with 11 rebounds. Bradford now has 14 career double-doubles in her Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball career, another record. By the way, she was the MVP 1 of this game.

Teammate Lexie Brown won MVP 2 honors as the guard posted her eighth consecutive 20-point game with 20 points. For Sims, she won Game MVP No. 25 as she was the MVP 3, scoring 24 points with seven assists in the loss.

Game 20: A Close One to Close Out the Doubleheader

While fans at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium saw plenty of offense in Game 19, Game 20 was exciting defensively. Forward Maddy Siegrist and Team Gold faced guard Tyasha Harris and the Purple team.

Siegrist’s squad held a 39-31 lead in the first half over Team Harris but it was 55-45 after three quarters. However, Team Purple outscored Team Gold 25-19 in the fourth but it wasn’t enough as Team Siegrist got the 74-70 victory.

Despite the loss, Harris took home MVP 1 honors with 21 points, marking nine consecutive games with at least 10 points.
