Unfortunately, fans will have one more week of Athletes Unlimited Basketball to enjoy in the Lone Star State. There have been individual performances that have seen the record books be re-written. Games 17 and 18 ended Week Three of Season Three shook up the leaderboard entering the penultimate week. That said, here is a recap of those games and who will be team captains in Week Four.
Game 17: Team Sims could not be stopped in the win over Team Mitchell
Odyssey Sims is one of the most decorated players in Athletes Unlimited Basketball history. Sims added to the league record books as she recorded the second-ever triple-double with 21 points, 12 assists, and 10 boards. Also, she took home MVP 2 honors as it was her 17th career Game MVP honor, the second-most in league history.

MVP 1 honors went to Kierstan Bell as she led the scoring for Team Sims with 26 points. Ty Young completed the sweep with MVP 3 honors as she scored 22 points while grabbing 11 boards. Additionally, Team Sims and their 116 points are good for the third-most in a game in AU Hoops history as they end the week undefeated.
Despite the loss, Tiffany Mitchell and her squad had four players reach double-digits. Mitchell led her team with 24 points, going 11-of-20 from the field. Maddie Siegrist and Zia Cooke each scored 17 points and Lexie Hull had 10 points.
Game 18: A close one in this Athletes Unlimited Basketball matchup
By comparison, the final game of Week Three was exciting between Natasha Cloud and Allisha Gray‘s teams. Each team won two quarters but Team Cloud edged out Team Gray by a 91 -87 score. Ruthy Hebard led Cloud’s squad with 24 points and 11 caroms, garnering MVP 2 honors as teammate Laeticia Amihere had 17 points and eight records, getting MVP 3 honors.

What’s more, Isabelle Harrison scored 16 points while Cloud had 11 points, seven boards, and seven dimes in the victory.
Gray shined despite the loss as she led her team with 36 points, seven caroms, and seven assists. Kelsey Mitchell scored 19 points in 36 minutes of action as Haley Jones had 10 points Emily Engstler and Theresa Plaisance combined nabbed 22 boards with 10 and 12, respectively, for Team Gray.
Team Captains for the final week of Athletes Unlimited Basketball
The last week of AU Hoops will see three returning captains with a new face taking the reins. Gray will lead the Gold team, Sims will head the Orange squad, and Cloud is in command of Team Blue. However, Bell will be in charge of the Blue Team as she jumped seven spots to get the position. Team Cloud and Team Sims will open the doubleheader then Teams Gray and Bell will close it out. The action begins Thursday, March 20 at 6:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. CT on Bally Sports and the WNBA App.
