Ladies Basketball League Coming Soon

Ladies basketball League

A new women’s basketball league is coming soon, and it will be called (LBL) Ladies Basketball League. The LBL was founded in 2017. But due to different team commitments to other associations and logistics, the LBL could not launch the league they wanted.

Ladies Basketball League

The LBL’s founder is David Parsons, and he has been speaking to various teams and potential owners from different backgrounds to join the LBL. Ladies Basketball League is looking to start in the spring or summer in 2021, depending on COVID-19 and health official guidelines in each city, state, province, or country.

The LBL will have eight teams, and they are aiming to have teams from the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. Depending on the market of the region, they are looking at. As for organizations in the U.S., the LBL is looking into the Flordia markets, Mid-West markets, and possibly some west coast markets. The founder David Parsons feels once the LBL fully ramps up advertising interest will gain.

LBL will operate under the FIBA basketball rules; they are slightly different from the WNBA rules. I talked to David Parsons about TV deals, and this is what he had to say, “Not yet, first we got to establish the league; however, we will be broadcasting online either on Youtube Channel and our or own platform on our site. First, we got to show the product before we approach broadcasters.”

The players in the LBL will be paid. Players will make from $500-1500 per game depending on the team’s market and what the team has for player salary budget.

LBL has league offices in Guatemala and Canada. Ladies Basketball League will be launching their website at the end of August or early September. It will be nice to have another women’s professional basketball league. There are many women capable of playing in the WNBA, but there are not enough teams. The LBL could solve that problem, stay tuned.
