Without question, Nikki A.S.H. (Almost a Super Hero), formerly known as Nikki Cross, is making waves in the RAW women’s division. Since Cross debuted her new character on RAW almost three months ago, it has been an upward trajectory. That upward trajectory propelled Nikki A.S.H. to compete in the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match last month. In the end, she ascended the ladder at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas to retrieve the briefcase. At that moment, you could see the emotion emanating out of her.
Love this shot so much! Congratulations @WWEBigE #MITB 💚

Having a guaranteed contract for a title shot was just the icing on the cake. One night later, she would become the RAW Women’s Champion. In an interview with Denise Salcedo of The Interviewer, Nikki A.S.H. alluded to various feelings hit when the realization came that she would become the champion. She stated:
“So, it was like the two emotions of, ‘wow this is surreal ‘and then there is the other side of ‘I am ready for this, this is what I’ve worked towards for the past 13 years.”
And New…
After Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley via disqualification, Ripley went after Flair by viciously assaulting Flair. All of a sudden, Nikki A.S.H.’s music hit, and she bolted like the Flash to the ring. Once she soared in the sky and hit a crossbody on Flair, she pinned the 14-time women’s championship. Until now, it did not feel real, but it was. Nikki A.S.H. is a champion.

As has been noted, she worked towards this goal for the previous 13 years. From her start in the Scottish Wrestling Alliance in 2008 to now being a champion, she has paid her dues as a wrestler. In the coming days, Nikki A.S.H. will, without reservation, be the biggest match in her career.
Her SummerSlam Moment
At SummerSlam, she will defend her title versus Flair and Ripley in a triple-threat match. On paper, a case can be made that she enters this match as an underdog. Not to mention that both Flair and Ripley have been both NXT and RAW women’s champions. In the case of Almost a Superhero, this is her first title reign and defense. Nonetheless, win or lose, Nikki A.S.H. will be ready.
The last time Nikki A.S.H. was a part of SummerSlam was in 2019. At that time, she partnered with Alexa Bliss on the pre-show match against The IIconics: Billie Kay and Peyton Royce.
Already a Superhero
In truth, she has already won just being in the match. She bet on herself, and it paid off because now people around the world will see a superhero. To begin with, personas like hers in WWE have not reached the height of success that she has taken. Furthermore, I have not seen Superman or Batman step into the squared circle. Just saying. All in all, I have no idea if she will retain. Yet, I know that Nikki A.S.H. is more than a gimmick; it is a way of life.
