Last season, Wheeler played well for the Sparks; she averaged 13.6 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 41% from the field and 35% from three-point land.
Chennedy Carter
As a rookie, Carter was the No.4 pick in the WNBA Draft; she averaged 17.4 points 3.4 assists per game. The point guard shot 47.3% from the field and 37.5% from three-point land. Carter was named to the WNBA ALL-Rookie Team. Last year Carter played in just 11 games before getting suspended for conduct determinantal to the team. Before the suspension, Carter was averaging 14.2 points.
“Chennedy Carter has the skills to be an All-WNBA talent,” GM/Head Coach Derek Fisher said via press release. “She can score at all three levels and has a tenacious approach to the game. At just 23 years old, we’re excited about the potential for her to be a star for many years to come.”
If Carter can put her issues aside, she can be an excellent addition to the Sparks. She can score the basketball. . Carter can score on all three levels. With her speed and quickness, she can collapse the defense and kick the ball to open teammates. A change of scenery can do her some good.
Sparks also got the rights to Yueru, and she is one of the top international centers. Yueru is 6-foot-7, and she averaged 14.8 points 8.3 rebounds per game while shooting 78.6% from the field. The center could add some size and depth to the Sparks front line.
Another good thing about the trade is it free’s up some cap space for the Sparks more players to their roster. Getting Carter is a good gamble for the Sparks; they are looking to get back to the playoffs.

Good trade for both teams.
As a sparks fan I’ll take a wait and see look at this trade. Dream made l out the best. Carter is more of a risk because of the fact she may be a head case.
