Analogous to what we’ve seen in AU Basketball, scoring has been off the charts and Team Harrison was a prime example. Team Harrison, led by Dallas Wings forward Isabelle Harrison, put forth the largest margin of victory in an AU Basketball game this season.
In this case, Team Harrison won by 100-74 over Team Russell. Team Russell is led by Seattle Storm center Mercedes Russell.
In truth, Team Harrison as well became the sixth team to attain the 100-point benchmark following a 58.2 percent mark from the field. Without a doubt, it’s the highest total by a team this season as they won Game 11 of AU Basketball this season. Additionally, it is the eighth instance a team has shot 50 percent or better from the field in a game this season.
With this in mind, Team Harrison went a perfect 14-for-14 from the charity stripe. Harrison and her squad are the first to make all of its free throws in a game this AU Basketball season.
On the other hand, Team Russell has lost all three of its matchups this week. As a result, they became the second team to go without a win in a single week.
Moreover, Team Harrison outrebounded Team Russell by a 40-28 margin. The teams combined to go 12-of-31 (38.7 percent) from beyond the arc, increasing the total to 167 made three-pointers in 11 games. Aspiration will plant ten trees for every made triple as part of its “Trees for Triples” initiative.
Team Harrison (Team Blue)
To begin, Harrison scored a season-low four points on 2-of-4 shooting from the field. She was the league’s leading scorer at 22.6 points per game entering Game 11 of AU Basketball.
Next, guard Courtney Williams put up her first double-double of the season with 14 points and a season-high ten assists. The 2021 WNBA All-Star joins guards Natasha Cloud and Odyssey Sims as the lone players to dish out ten or more assists in a game this season.
Equally important, Sims posted her sixth straight double-digit scoring performance after scoring 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field. This includes a 3-for-5 effort from three-point range and grabbed six boards as well.
Forward Jantel Lavender posted a season-high 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field. She also sank both of her free throws. Lavender has scored in double figures in 3-of-6 games this season.

Lastly, center Akela Maize posted her first double-digit scoring effort of the AU Basketball season. To clarify, Maize came off the bench to score 11 points. The 2017-2018 member of the All-ACC Defensive Team went 5-for-5 from the field. She made her only free throw opportunity for Team Harrison.
Team Russell (Team Purple)
As I have noted, Team Purple has not won a game in three tries, but there were a few bright spots nevertheless. In general, Russell kept her squad in the game with 20 points and eight rebounds.
Also, guard Sydney Colson contributed 14 points with five assists.
