Team Names Unveiled For AUSL Ahead Of Its Inaugural Season

As the inaugural season of AUSL is vastly approaching, the news is hit after hit with announcements about players, coaches, and general managers. Now, the league released news of the team names with their unique design.

First, the Bandits name has quite a backstory. They were once a highly-regarded franchise with a long and storied history. This franchise was not just exclusive to the Chicago area but spanned the world of softball. When it comes to the logo, the history can be shown thanks to the boldness along with its contemporary look.

Here, University of Arizona softball great Jenny Dalton-Hill and San Diego State Aztecs softballย Head Coach Stacey Nuveman-Deniz are the general manager and head coach, respectively, for the Bandits.

Next, the Blaze franchise speaks for itself as itโ€™s all about speed and bringing the heat to the softball field. In addition, its logo brings forth a sense of high energy and feeling unstoppable. Its colors are a reflection of a modern-day presence on the field with shades of pink and orange in the logo. The head coach of the Blaze franchise will be Western Illinois Softball Head Coach Alisa Golerย as former Team USA national member Dana Sorensen is the general manager.

Who Are The Other Two Teams For The Upcoming AUSL Season?

Team No. 3 is the Talons, as the name is an inspiration by the Peregrine Falcon, one of the fastest-flying birds in the world. The talons of the Peregrine Falcon are known to grab their prey. Similarly, the Talons look to snatch victories on the field. In this case, UCLA and Team USA legend Lisa Fernandez is the general manager of the Talons while former LSU assistant coach Howard Dobson is the head coach in charge.

Last but not least, the Volts are a franchise that will strike power in every sense of the word. Whatโ€™s more, the logo matches the personification with its โ€œpowerfullyโ€ designed letter โ€œVโ€ which includes a bolt of lightning. Also, the color scheme signifies the confidence needed to be successful. Here, Team USA softball legends Cat Osterman and Kelly Kretschman are the general manager and coach, respectively, for the Volts.
