Without question, Bianca Belair and her reign as Raw Women’s Champion will be etched in WWE history. Belair faced Asuka at Night of Champions premium live event for the title. Both superstars put on a show for the crowd as the conclusion of the match saw the EST dodge the challenger’s green mist. However, Asuka got green mist into Belair’s eyes as she attempted her K.O.D. finisher.
Asuka would pin Belair for the three-count and become the Raw Women’s Champion for the third time. That pinfall would end the longest reign for a women’s champion in the modern era. Belair was also the longest-reigning Black champion in WWE history. It was hard on fans to see her lose the title, but Belair should be proud of his historic run.

There’s a strong chance that WWE fans may not see another run out of a Women’s champion like that soon. For the EST, it all started at WrestleMania 38 as she defeated her rival, Becky Lynch. Since then, the Knoxville, Tennessee native defended the belt against the best WWE had to offer at premium live events.
She retained against Lynch and Asuka in her first title defense at Hell in a Cell (HIAC) in a triple-threat match. Belair has also faced former champions Carmella, Alexa Bliss, and Bayley for the title during her reign.
What’s Next for Bianca Belair?
The EST could find herself facing a former NXT rival Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam in August. Belair was drafted to the SmackDown brand in the recent WWE Draft. However, WWE could be saving that match for WrestleMania 40 next year.

Her over 400-day reign could lead to her getting some rest, but she could be on a quest for gold. No matter what’s next, she will forever be a history maker and trailblazer for many thanks to her run as champion.
