As Survivor Series WarGames inches closer, there’s a lot of curiosity surrounding the women’s Survivor Series WarGames match. The match is a five-on-five contest inside a steel cage with two rings. In essence, it’s the merging of two great pay-per-views rolled into one Premium Live Event. One team is led by the RAW Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair. The other team will be led by the first female Grand Slam champion and leader of Damage CTRL, Bayley. Let’s break down the two teams competing in this match on Saturday.
Team Bayley Is Set at Survivor Series WarGames
First, fellow members of Damage CTRL in Dakota Kai and Io Sky will be on Team Bayley. Also, they’ve added superstars Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley to their team. When looking at this team, this is one of the more loaded teams assembled based on their resumes and experience. Of the five members of Team Bayley, four have participated in the traditional Survivor Series match. The exception here is Dakota Kai.
It’s important to note that Bayley has a 2 – 1 record in Survivor Series matches. Also, only Kai, Sky, and Ripley have competed in the NXT WarGames match. All in all, only Io Sky and Rhea Ripley have competed in both a Survivor Series and WarGames match.

In total, Sky has appeared in three WarGames matches as Ripley has been in two of them. The wild card here is Nikki Cross because she’s unpredictable, which is a valuable asset in this match.
Team Bianca Belair Has Uncertainty Entering the Premium Live Event
When assessing Bianca Belair and her team, there’s a clear lack of experience when it comes to WarGames. The team consisting of Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and Mia Yim has no experience fighting in a WarGames match. Yet, there’s no lack of Survivor Series experience since everyone has competed in that match except for Yim. However, they’re short a member on the team as the Premium Live Event is right around the corner.
It was announced the fifth member would be revealed on SmackDown, the night before Survivor Series WarGames. The answer to the mysterious fifth member is someone who checks boxes. The favorite has to be superstar Raquel Rodriguez. Firstly, she would the only SmackDown superstar between both teams (the other nine superstars are from RAW).

In addition, it gives Belair’s team a member who’s competed in a WarGames match. Rodriguez competed in two WarGames matches in 2020 and last year. All in all, I expect chaos in this match. That’s what makes this match fun to watch. Check it out on Peacock on Nov. 23rd to see this unique merging of pay-per-views.
