The Offense On Display In Athletes Pro Unlimited Basketball

As Season Four of Athletes Pro Unlimited Basketball is underway, the talent is as advertised with the efforts from Opening Night. In Games Three and Four, each of the winning teams made it across the 90-point threshold. Fans were also introduced to some names they will not soon forget. That being said, here’s a recap of Games Three and Four from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

Game Three: This Game Headed Toward The “West” Once Again

In Game Three, Team Orange, led by guard Evina Westbrook, faced guard Sydney Colson and Team Purple. Westbrook’s squad controlled the first half with a 54-29 lead and did not let up in the third quarter. In all, Team Orange got the 94-73 win over Team Purple, getting their second win of the week. Once again, Team Westbrook’s offense came out relentlessly as seven players reached double figures.

This marked the first time a squad in Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball history had seven players finish with at least 10 points in a single game. Overall, It is the third time in league history that a team has finished a game with six or more players registering double-digit points.

Guard Bria Hartley led the way for Team Orange with 16 points as she won MVP 1 honors. Tyasha Harris put up 12 points for Westbrook’s team, winning MVP 2 honors. The other five players with 10+ points were guards Kia Nurse (15), Crystal Bradford (13), Kenisha Bell (11), and Jaylyn Sherrod (10). Also, center Elizabeth Williams added 13 points in 28 minutes of action.

For Colson’s team, forward Maya Caldwell led the scoring with 15 points as she was the MVP 3 of the game. Alissa Pili of the Minnesota Lynx scored 15 points for the Purple squad while guard Kiara Leslie added 12 points.

Game Four: An “Odyssey” In Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball

Looking at Game Four, guard Kierstan Bell and Team Blue competed against Team Gold, led by forward and Nashville native Isabelle Harrison. Unlike their first game, Bell’s squad was far from feeling blue as they took charge early on and never relented. Winning all four quarters along with five scorers in double digits led to the 98-71 win over Team Gold. What’s more, the 27-point win is good for the

Guard Odyessy Sims led the scoring efforts with 27 points, taking home MVP 1 honors and making history. Sims has over 1,000 career points in Athletes Unlimited Basketball and 19 MVP 1 honors, second all-time.

Forward Desi-Rae Young scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Team Bell, taking home MVP 3 honors. The other three 10+ point scorers for Team Bell were forward Asia Taylor (16) along with guards Bell (15) and Dyaisha Fair (12).

Maddy Siegrist of Team Harrison won MVP 2 honors with 26 points on 57.1 % shooting from the field. Harrison scored 15 points as Taj Cole added 11 points with eight assists in the loss.
