As we roll into week two of the WNBA season, let’s take a look back at some of the hottest kicks that players have been rocking around the wubble this past week.
#10 DeWanna Bonner (Connecticut Sun) : Zoom Freak 1 “All Bros”
DeWanna Bonner comes in at #10 with her explosive pair of Zoom Freaks. The sneakers made another appearance in the wubble when Seattle Storm center, Mercedes Russell, stepped out in the ”Cream City” edition three days later.
#9 A’ja Wilson (Los Vegas Aces) : Lebron 17 Low PE
At #9 we have A’ja Wilson who broke out Player Exclusive Lebron 17s with an incredible Aces inspired colorway during Friday’s late-night game.
#8 Diana Taurasi (Phoenix Mercury) : “Mr. Swackhammer” Lebron 17s
Similarly, Diana Taurasi lands at #8 with her own Lebron 17s. Taurasi rocked the Space Jam inspired edition on opening day, perhaps trying to channel the magic of the movie.
#7 Tyasha Harris (Dallas Wings) : Custom Curry 7s
Tyasha Harris, who recently signed a multiyear deal with Under Armour, headed to Instagram to showcase her custom Dallas Wings inspired Curry 7s putting herself at #7 on our list.
#6 Breanna Stewart (Seattle Storm) : Custom Air Zoom BB NXT
Next up is Breanna Stewart who hit the court in her social justice inspired shoes. Which focuses on highlighting the Say Her Name movement as well as Black lives Matter. In addition to this Stewart also shines a light on the LGBT community with the unseen side of the left showcasing the transgender flag and solidarity.
#5 Alysha Clark (Seattle Storm) : Kobe 9 Elite ‘Influence’
Then we have Alysha Clark who rocked high top Kobe 9s during Friday’s win against the Los Angles Sparks.
#4 Kia Nurse (New York Liberty) : Jordan 34 PE
As always, Kia Nurse popped out with her typical Jumpman swag here in Jordan 34 Player Exclusives.
#3 Jacki Gemelos (Connecticut Sun) : ‘Ready for Change’ Dame 6
Another player making a statement this season is Jacki Gemelos with the Adidas “Ready for Change” Dame 6s. Similarly, Candace Parker also sported the Adidas “Ready for Change” Pro Model 2Gs in Friday’s game.
#2 Satou Sabally (Dallas Wings) : Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 34 “Noah”
Second up, Satou Sabally brought her killer style to the court on Sunday in the Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 34 collaboration.
#1 Skylar Diggins-Smith (Phoenix Mercury) : My Kicks My Cause Customs
Finally, we have Skylar Diggins-Smith’s custom Say Her Name kicks for Mercury’s My Kicks My Cause initiative. In short, the initiative challenges players to use their shoes to express what matters to them; which we can expect to see more from over the course of the season.
