Comparatively, games three and four of AUX softball gave us significantly more firepower than the first two games. In the first pair of games in AUX, there was a total of 22 runs scored. However, in games three and four, 35 combined runs were scored. Without question, if you love seeing the bats take center stage, these games were made for you. That being said, we’ll take a look at both of these games.
Game Three: Team Chidester wins a close one in extras
After a scoreless first inning, infielder Andrea Filler hit a two-run single for Team Chidester in the second. Filler, who played for Team Italy in the 2020 Olympics, got 40 points as the MVP 2 of the matchup. However, Team Eberle got on the board in the third inning, thanks to a two-run homer by outfielder Megan Wiggins. The big fly by the six-time All-NPF selection is her second one in as many games.
Shifting to the fourth inning, Eberle’s squad scored five runs in their half of the inning. In this case, Lili Piper, DJ Sanders and Wiggins each had an RBI, while outfielder Victoria Hayward had a pair of RBIs. Hayward had four hits in the game, marking the second four-hit game of her AU career.
Next, Filler hit an RBI single while Sis Bates slammed a two-run double in the bottom of the fourth. Outfielder Shannon Rhodes blasted a homer for Team Eberle in the top of the inning in the following inning.

Game Four: Team Ocasio hits their way to their first AUX victory
Unlike game three, this game was decided fairly early as Team Ocasio came out swinging. Ocasio’s squad put up six runs to start the game, getting RBIs from Sierra Romero and outfielder Aliyah Andrews. Andrews put up a three-hit game and was the game’s MVP 2. In addition, they got a pair of RBIs from designated player Jordan Roberts and infielder Nadia Taylor in the inning.
Team Ocasio added three more in the third inning
Furthermore, they scored another run in the second inning to go up 7-0. Also, outfielder Amanda Lorenz knocked an RBI double in the third inning as Ocasio’s team put up three more runs.
The former Florida Gators had three hits in the game and earned MVP 3 honors for her performance. Likewise, Romero and Roberts added the other two runs in that third inning.
The first runs for Team Chidester came in the sixth inning, getting four in the frame. These runs were a three-run shot by Mulipola and a solo rocket by Fischer.
