Upcoming women sport events to bet on

The sports betting industry has one thing in common with women’s sports: they are both fast-growing in popularity. Women’s sports attract more fans than ever now, particularly the big ones like basketball, football, and mixed martial arts. On the other hand, sports like tennis, volleyball, and horse riding have always had an immense appreciation for their female athletes.

With 2024 nearing its end, we thought it would be good to discuss the upcoming women’s sports events that will close off the year. Of course, bettors are in high spirits regarding these events, especially as they get a lot of coverage online. For example, the Novibet sports betting website covers most, if not all of the events that we are going to bring up in this article. So, if that interests you, start betting.

World Track Championship (Oct. 16-20)

When most people think about betting, cycling is not the first sport that comes to mind. However, the truth is that cycling can be quite exciting, especially as far as betting is concerned. Of course, most people are familiar with the Tour de France. However, there are many other cycling events, such as the upcoming Women’s UCI Track Cycling World Championship.

Held in the Ballerup Super Arena in Ballerup, Denmark, the event features both men and women cyclists competing in a series of events. The women will be competing in 11 events total, including individual pursuit, team pursuit, sprint, scratch, and much more. For anyone who is a fan of cycling and betting, the UCI Track Cycling World Championship is one event to look out for.

Melbourne Cup (Nov. 5)

The Melbourne Cup is not just one of Australia’s most noteworthy horse racing events but one of the most popular in the world. On Nov. 5, 2024, the 164th iteration of the long-running event will take place, featuring both male and female jockeys. The race takes place on a 3200-meter field, so the human and equestrian athletes must come in tip-top shape and prove their ability.

Horse racing has always been popular in the world of betting, so we really don’t need to delve into this event too much. Needless to say, many of the best bookies will be featuring odds on this event, land-based and online. If you are interested in horse racing, certainly get excited for the Melbourne Cup.

Billie Jean King Cup Finals (Nov. 13-20)

As we said before, female tennis players have always been treated with the respect they deserve, sometimes even more so than the men. In fact, female tennis players have proven on several occasions that they can compete just as well or even better than the male ones. So, talking about the Billie Jean King Cup Finals as a betting event is a given.

Named for one of the greatest female tennis players of all time, the 2024 Cup was the 61st iteration of the tournament. The finals will be held on 13 November and last for seven days, until 20 November 2024. Bookies have already set up some early odds for risk-taking punters who want to place future bets. However, most casual fans prefer to wait.
