USA Volleyball: U.S Women’s Indoor Volleyball Finds a Home

USA Volleyball

USA Volleyball and Athletes Unlimited started a partnership for U.S women’s volleyball. They found a city where all the top women’s volleyball indoor players can play, and it will be in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Co-founder of Athletes Unlimited Jon Patricof had this to say about USA volleyball. “I think there’s a huge opportunity around professional women’s sports in this country and around the world.” I really think volleyball is the biggest opportunity that exists. We plan to have national television partners and a number of significant commercial sponsors.”

Municipal Auditorium

Firstly, the volleyball season will kick off on February 26 and will end on April 4, 2021. Secondly, the games will be played at a 9,700 seat venue called the Municipal Auditorium. The league is prepared to play without fans if the coronavirus outbreak does not improve by February.

Alliance Volleyball Club is located at the TOA Performance Center, and it is near the Municipal Auditorium, where the games will be played. Also, the Alliance Club will be the league’s training partner.

Jordan Larson

The league will invite 40 players, and four captains will choose the teams. It will include a point system to determine the captains for the games every week. Among the 40 players will be the 2016 Olympic Bronze medalist Jordan Larson. Larson will help set up rules for the league and have a hand in which 40 players will get invited.

Larson had this to say about the league. “The fact that we can have this opportunity to play in the States, I can’t even tell you. I have so many conversations with little girls, and I’m excited for the future for them and for us.”

In conclusion, this a great for women’s volleyball, players in the United States now they won’t have to go to other countries to compete professionally. It is a start-up league, so it will be some trial and error, but I hope it does well; the women deserve it.
