To those who love the WNBA, AU Basketball has been the place to watch some of the best players. Now, fans have the opportunity to see AU Basketball games this season on the WNBA League Pass. The WNBA streaming platform will expand its content by giving subscribers 25 AU Basketball this season at no extra cost. The second season of the professional basketball league will commence on Feb. 23.
Without question, this partnership is beneficial to many WNBA players. Many of the WNBA’s talent will take part in the league this season, including some veterans. All in all, there is a healthy mix of youth and experience.
Who are some of the WNBA players taking part in this season of AU Basketball?
For starters, Lexie Brown will be competing as she looks to improve her fourth-place finish in AU last season. The Los Angeles Sparks guard scored the first points in AU Basketball history. Next, guard Natasha Cloud did slightly better than Brown as she finished second last season on the leaderboard. The 2019 WNBA champion was a game MVP seven times.

Also, Allisha Gray will be making her AU debut this season as she looks to make an impression. Gray played in the WNBA with the Dallas Wings, averaging 13.3 points per game and shooting 40.8 percent from three-point range. In addition, Indiana Fever stars NaLyssa Smith and Kelsey Mitchell will be in the league in 2023. Smith will be making her first appearance in AU while it will be Mitchell’s sophomore season.
Smith had eight double-doubles for the Fever in the WNBA last season but led all rookies with 253 rebounds. Mitchell was the fifth leading scorer in AU as the guard averaged 20.5 points per game.
The stellar broadcasting duo and where else to watch AU Basketball
Similar to last season, WNBA legend and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Sheryl Swoopes is the lead analyst. Moreover, the voice of the Phoenix Mercury, Cindy Brunson, is on the play-by-play. Sports broadcaster Mariluz Cook will also join Swoopes and Bruncosn for in-action fan and player interaction.
CBS Sports Network will present five games, while select games will be simulcast by the Women’s Sports Network and Bally Sports regional sports networks. All things considered, this season of AU Basketball should be fun to watch.
